I'm sending this update from my phone while sitting with my oldest daughter as she fights sleep and bargains for 5 more minutes. I felt compelled to update today after watching the news. The citizens of Haiti have suffered from a tragic incident. An earthquake of such magnitude, they can't even begin to assess the number of missing, wounded, and sadly dead. While watching the broadcast tonight it occurred to me (rather selfishly I'll admit) how lucky I am to have my family safe tonight. After thinking this my heart began to ache for the unfortunate people who are crying for their children, parents, and other family members. I don't have much to contribute to these people but I hope to be able to do something, anything for them, even if I can only provide words of comfort. I would urge everyone reading this to do the same. Look around you at your family. Now imagine them all being stolen away from you in the blink of an eye. Don't you think that in that moment a little kindness would go a long way?
Think about that tonight. Think about what you would want someone to say or do to you in that situation.
Think about what those words or minor things might mean to you in your time of need.
Think about that...and spread the love.
